{"id":2,"date":"2022-04-15T09:25:26","date_gmt":"2022-04-15T09:25:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anr-placho.c2n.universite-paris-saclay.fr\/?page_id=2"},"modified":"2022-07-25T13:42:14","modified_gmt":"2022-07-25T13:42:14","slug":"sample-page","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/anr-placho.c2n.universite-paris-saclay.fr\/","title":{"rendered":"ANR project Placho"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p><\/p><cite>Platform for multisCale simulation of hot carriers: electrons and phonons for energy harvesting<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img width=\"136\" height=\"77\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The project Placho (Platform for multisCale simulation of hot carriers: electrons and phonons for energy harvesting) funded by then French Funding research agency <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/anr.fr\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\">ANR <\/a>(via <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/anr.fr\/Project-ANR-21-CE50-0008\" target=\"_blank\">grants ANR-21-CE50-0008<\/a>) aims to develop an original multi scale (DFT+Monte Carlo+NEGF) numerical platform from atoms to device specifically dedicated to energy conversion. This versatile tool based on first principles will be able to capture the properties of electrons, holes and phonons and their coupling in a wide energy range for a large set of materials without the need of prior measurements. The fine accuracy of physical description of electric and thermal phenomena will be exploited for device simulation purposes. The transport of carriers belonging to the high energy distribution tail in both the stationary and transient regimes will be considered also when quantum effects are dominant.
